SahiRishtaa ("we", "us", "our") operates the SahiRishtaa matrimonial mobile application ("Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and profile photo, provided directly by you or via Google Sign-In.
• Profile details: date of birth, gender, religion, caste, education, occupation, income, location, and family details you add to your matrimonial profile.
• Verification data: documents or details submitted for identity, employer, or relative verification.
• Usage data: search activity, interests sent/received, messages exchanged with matches, and app activity timestamps.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and display your profile to compatible matches.
• To power search, filtering, and match-ranking features.
• To verify identity and improve trust and safety on the Platform.
• To send you notifications about interests, messages, and account activity.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. Profile details are shown only to other users on the Platform as part of the core matchmaking service. Verification documents are used solely for verification and are not shared publicly.

4. Third-Party Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) from that provider to create your account. We do not post to your social accounts on your behalf.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from Profile > Settings > Delete Account within the app, or by emailing us (see Contact below). We will delete your data within 7 business days of an email request. Some information may be retained where required by law (e.g. fraud prevention or legal compliance) for a limited period after deletion.

6. Child Safety

SahiRishtaa is intended only for individuals aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts or use the Platform.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. Any account, content, or communication found to involve or promote CSAE will be removed immediately, the account permanently banned, and the matter reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local law enforcement as required by law.

If you encounter any content or behaviour on SahiRishtaa that concerns the safety of a minor, please report it immediately using the in-app Report/Block feature, or contact us directly at sahirishtaaonline@gmail.com. We investigate and act on all such reports promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time through the app or by contacting us directly.
